El_Kwix-o_sm2
This is the El Kwix-o stack. What is El Kwix-o? It's one part slider, one part accordion, one part Kwix and two parts FUN! El Kwix-o is primarily designed for images but, as you'll see on these pages, if you are willing to roll up your sleeves, get dirty and do some coding, El Kwix-o can handle text and images equally well. And just by checking a box within Stacks, you can change the layout from horizontal to vertical! Oh yeah, open a particular image with a link!

Below is an example of what El Kwix-o does best (or at least easiest)... display your pictures with a cool, velvety-smooth sliding effect. You can add multiple El Kwix-o's to a page... just be careful with those image sizes to optimize page load times. And El Kwix-o plays nicely with a lot of other cool stacks. See the demos on the following pages.
These nice flower images were provided by my friend, Henk Vrieselaar. He's quite a photographer.

Below, I've created some images and made a menu out of them. Each image below acts as a link to the flower images above..... all done with El Kwix-o! Hover over the small metallic icons...

  1. Option to load Mootools (only required for first El Kwix-o on the page)
  2. Name of each El Kwix-o (so you can use multiples)
  3. The width of the portion of an image that displays when another image is open (the peek)
  4. Speed of the transition
  5. Color of divider between images
  6. Width of divider between images
  7. *** check to have one image start "open"
  8. *** specify which image starts "open"
  9. Check to change to a vertical layout
  10. Check if you'd like a colored divider in vertical mode
  11. Check so that last image visited stays "pinned" open
  12. Check for a bouncy transition
  13. Custom code (included in the manual) to alter many other features. Not for the faint of heart!

Lots of things to customize. Create an eye-catching display that will grab your visitor's attention...

The list of things you can accomplish with the Custom field includes: activating El Kwix-o with a click rather than mouseover, ability to open with mouseover and pin image in place with a click, altering the overall height or width of El Kwix-o, changing the transition type and many more.
