This is the El Dorado Lightbox stack. "El Dorado" is Spanish for "The Golden One" . This stack is built for use in Stacks 2.0 and higher. This is by far the most customizable lightbox stack available for RapidWeaver. El Presidente has crammed a lot of features into this stack to allow you to create the best Lightbox experience for your project.

Each of the ten styles (think of "styles" as being similar to "themes" in RapidWeaver) has its own unique set of features including button graphics, button placement, title location, loading graphics, corner configuration (round vs square) and many, many others.

Of course, I'm sure you'd like to see the stack in action…. so click here. This is just one of the 10 styles available to you in the stack. To see examples of each of the 10 styles, please take a moment to visit this demo site. But hurry back. ;-)

The accordion below will outline the settings available to you with this stack.

El Dorado Overlay Setup

el_dorado.rwsw-1
This section allows you to customize the lightbox background.
You select the color you want to use for the background overlay.
Then you select the opacity of that overlay (less opacity means more "see-through")
Finally, you decide if you want a background image displayed in the overlay.
If you check the box for the Custom background image, you will be provided more options:

Once this option is selected, you can either drag an image into the image well provided or click the "browse" button and navigate to the image. By default, the selected background image will repeat in both the x and y directions. This is especially nice for a repeating background image.
If you want your background image to repeat in only one direction, you will check the small box and be presented with more options:

You can select from the dropdown menu for either:
  • Repeat X or
  • Repeat Y

If you choose not to use titles with your images, you can move on to the next section.

Checking the box for the Title border allows you to:
  • Select the border color and
  • Select the border width

If you check the box for the Title shadow, you will have this displayed:

The final selection in this area allows you to relocate the title. Important Note: Each style available to you in this lightbox has a default location fror the title. The author believes some look better displayed below the image and others look better displayed superimposed on top of the lower left corner of the image. If you do not select this checkbox, your titles will display in the author's default location. If you check the box, the title will display in the alternate location. This varies style by style so check it out to get just the look you desire.

El Dorado Effect Settings

el_dorado.rwsw-3
If you check this box, you can make adjustments to the speed at which the lightbox appears and resizes.
Checking the box makes a dropdown menu appear.

From this menu, you select either:

El Dorado Lightbox Direction

The final customization determines whether your lightbox appears from the top of the page or the bottom of the page. Checking or un-checking a simple checkbox is all that is required for you to make that customization.
As you can see, El Dorado offers you a boat-load of customization choices. You get to choose whicher look and feel best complements your RapidWeaver project/theme.
